I’m Nik Vaughn, a UK-based scenic and commercial artist with over 30 years’ experience working across theatre, film, live events, public art and commercial environments.

My practice focuses on scenic painting, murals, textured finishes, props and environmental artwork that support storytelling and transform physical spaces. I regularly work on-site alongside set builders, designers and production teams, adapting quickly to evolving briefs and tight schedules.

I’m comfortable operating within production environments where collaboration, reliability and problem-solving matter as much as creative skill. Whether working on a theatre set, immersive event build or large-scale mural, my aim is always the same: to deliver visually strong, production-ready work that enhances the final build.

Based in Essex, I work across the UK and am available for freelance, contract and project-based work.
